Our Vision

The Temple #47 Pythian Sisters’ vision is to help Gaston’s house less, youth, elderly, or home bound community members through fundraising and donating our time to them. Serving the new and old, hungry and cold.

Our Mission

To bring together women of diverse backgrounds and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow through the principles of Purity, Love, Equality, and Fidelity. We invite you to join with us – for friendship’s sake – and as a basis for serving your community. In addition, an effort to enrich your life, as well as our own, we offer our assistance to you.

Our Meetings

Meetings are held at 6:30-7:30pm on the First Thursdays of every month. We invite you to join with us – for friendship’s sake – and as a basis for serving your community. WHO ARE ELGIBILE:

To be eligible for membership in a Temple, a woman must not be less than sixteen years of age and of good character.

We maintain that friendship and strong family relationships are essential factors for a happy life.

OBJECTIVE:

The work of Pythian Sisters covers a broad field. It is not confined to the local Gaston Temple or to the field of Pythianism. The Pythian Sisters organization, in addition to its beautiful, meaningful work, is engaged in altruistic efforts second to none among women’s organizations.

DO YOU KNOW:

The International Order of Pythian Sisters support many different charities including Cerebral Palsy and Special Olympics.
